Location and Transportation

There are some interesting things you should know about the city’s location.  First and foremost, Coral Springs is located midway between Palm Beach and Miami and just thirty minutes from the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. 

Coral Springs is Broward County's 4th largest city, with a population of approximately 130,000 people.  The city is just 25 miles west of Ft Lauderdale, and the Sawgrass Expressway and State Road 7 provide easy access to many other locations in the area. 

Travellers outside the community use either the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International, Miami International or Palm Beach International airports.

Climate

The climate of the area is very conducive to many of the outdoor activities offered the young and old alike.  Temperature averages range from the 70's in December through February, 80's in March through May and October and November.  The summer months of June through September usually see average temperatures in the 90's.

One of the highlights of this sprawling planned community 30 minutes northwest of Fort Lauderdale is its 182-acre Sportsplex, which offers ice rinks, skate parks, tennis courts, a dog park, and more. Many Olympic swimming hopefuls train at the facility's aquatic center.
